Get Fit With Spin Classes
Spinning classes are done on the Spinner cycling bikes (www.spinning.com) with various light and music settings to create an energized atmosphere. Instructors will guide you through workout phases. Warm-up, steady uptempo cadences, sprints, climbs, cool-downs, etc. You control resistance on your bike to make the pedaling as easy or difficult as you choose. Constant adjustment is normal.
Ready to Spin! What do you need?
All you’ll need is workout clothes, a towel (to wipe your face) and a water bottle. Spinning bikes have toe clips so you can wear tennis shoes. But many pedals also work with Shimano-style SPD cleats. Have fun and enjoy spinning away with Georgia and Jack!

Spinning is a Very Efficient Exercise
Indoor cycling is an aerobic activity which builds both cardiovascular endurance and lower body strength through repetitive resistance training. Few other low-impact activities have the potential to burn as many calories in an hour as cycling. Cyclists create their own resistance on the SPINNER bike, and your class will be as intense as you want it to be. Anyone can do it! Our coaches will make sure that you are on pace with the group, and will take you through various workouts. A basic 45-55 minute workout includes a warm-up, a few drills for technique, the “body” of the work (i.e. intervals, short races, or pyramids), and a cool down.
